So who is excited about the BDO lineup so far?
Personally, I am very much looking forward to The Strokes, The Flaming Lips and the Dandy Warhols.
I am hoping the list of Australian bands in attendance will get better with the second and third announcements. So far the only decent Aus band on there is Gerling, in my opinion anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing The Datsuns I suppose... aren't they from NZ?

I'm going to see The Strokes. Did you like their 2nd album? i didn't think it was as good as Is This It, but it's still fucking cool. The next announcement should be good too.

On Monday I went into JB's and bought 4 cd's on some kind of spending binge. 'Room on Fire' was one of these four. I have only listened to it once so far, and I must say that from that one listen I thought it was no where near as good as 'Is this it'. Although I am told it gets better the more you listen to it. So I will have to do that soon. I guess I just thought the whole style of the album was a little TOO similar to the first, I was hoping they would evolve in a different direction with the new album. I still think it is quite good though, I will definitly give it a few more good listens before I finalise my views. :-)
The trouble with that is, I seem to be stuck listening to the new Muse album at the moment. Wow. What an awesome album. This band is heavily rumoured for the BDO, oh I so hope those rumours come to be true! Knowing my luck they will come, but only for the East coast... In that case, I would seriously consider a well timed trip to Melbourne to visit my cousins next January.

2nd Announcement made today... Muse are coming to BDO in Perth!!!!!!! Hoorah! I am so very excited right now. I finally get to see this awesome band live. It will be a life defining moment, I am sure. Also congrats to local lads The Sleepy Jackson on being announced. I haven't seen these guys in over a year, so I am looking forward to them quite a bit. Still hoping for some more decent Aus acts in the third announcement though... please?

I bet the Stokes and Muse play around the same time on opposite sides of the park... like the Murderdolls and Foo Fighters last year

Yeah I just got Absolution and it is very, very good. I'm not a big Muse fan but if the Strokes aren't playing at the same time, I'll definately go see them.

Yeah I am worried about timetable clashes, with so many awesome bands I am wanting to see, I think it will be a miracle if the timetabling works in my favour.
Does anybody remember when they tend put out the timetable? Hopefully it isnt too long after the third announcement...
